Eight kilometers to Monforte, by the highway that goes to Escairón, it’s one of the most important great houses of Galicia, the pazo of Tor. The building has its origin in 9th century, although the most of the current construction dates from the 18th century. It keeps in its interior an extensive library, weapons, curtains of Damascus, jewels, silver objects and a valuable furniture.

Several churches of the City council are within the Rural Romanesque artistic style. Some of them conserves interesting paintings of the Galician Renaissance, like the one of RIBASALTAS, with the classic model of pantocrator. The VALVERDE church is another singular example of this religious architecture, adapted to the rural, that it arrived at Galicia with the cult to Santiago Apostle.
